I had been watching Shannon's journey for close to a year. When she became pregnant with her second baby and she was still working out - I thought, "if she can do it, I can do it." So I started with her clean eating challenge and was amazed at how easy it was to meal plan once you had the tools to do it. With Shakeology, I was excited to have a breakfast option that was easy to make, kept me full until snack, and tasted delicious. We're hooked.
I was a runner (20 miles/week) and would lift weights prior to trying any of the Beachbody workout programs. I was staying pretty static in my fitness, but wasn't a stranger to the gym. I noticed that I was holding on to an extra 15 or so pounds despite my level of activity and was no longer satisfied with my progress (or lake thereof). We started with the 21 Day Fix and was surprised at how challenging it was. I had amazing results during the first program and continued to see results. Since that first round, we've completed 21 Day Fix Extreme, two rounds of Hammer & Chisel, and Core de Force.
There are two reasons why I believe I saw results with the Shakeology & Beachbody workouts where I wasn't seeing them prior: nutrition and accountability. I didn't eat very well before or in the right portions. The containers were easy to measure, I could eat a wide range of foods and I felt satisfied by what I was eating. Having an accountability group was crucial to my success as well. I needed a group of uplifting and inspiring individuals who got off track once and again (and admitted it) but still pushed to finish. Knowing that others were experiencing the same challenges but were making it happen kept me connected to the program. Daily tasks and challenges kept me motivated. Shannon is an amazing coach. She checks in weekly, responds to questions, and always has advice. I find her very trustworthy and credible - especially because she's an ARNP.
Overall, I am very satisfied with all of the programs. It's hard work for sure. But is attainable if you trust the program!
